Our Housing Model

How we’re different:

Our distinctive housing arrangement offers a shared living environment that supports one another. Unlike most recovery housing in less attractive parts of the city, we provide upper middle-class homes in communities that welcome families. Research has demonstrated how challenging it can be to maintain healing when someone returns to the same harmful environment. Our residents observe our House Rules and participate in Daily Chores that promote our Good Neighbor Policy, as well as helping them regain their self-esteem.

Ways we connect:

We collaborate with several organizations offering peer support, counseling, peer education, employment, and medical treatment. We are in favor of co-diagnosing depression and addiction. Our residences receive access to services that promote effective rehabilitation, education, and employment.

Fostering Accountability:

We hold those who live in our houses to the highest standards. Recovery involves learning to feel at ease with others while also accepting oneself because the addiction lifestyle tends to become more and more solitary over time. We provide shared bedrooms in a community living setting, emphasizing the value of helping one another improve. Our strategy includes a social support network element that proves crucial for promoting ongoing abstinence and success in recovery. Additionally, shared bedrooms help prevent social isolation, which is easy to develop when seeking rehabilitation.

Meeting our Member’s Needs:

While our younger residents require a secure base to launch their adult lives, some require a safe setting to recover from prior traumas. Some people are committed to continuing their achievement after participating in inpatient treatment programs or self-improvement courses while incarcerated. Some people require a new beginning and a chance to recover from financial or housing instability. Others are in their golden years, don't want to live alone, aren't ready for assisted living, and are looking for fulfillment. While we provide housing for persons undergoing various forms of recovery, ALL of our homes remain sober living spaces.

Our Goal:

Our goal is for everyone to have a place to call home who requires affordable recovery housing focusing on rehabilitation and who is facing housing insecurity someday.
